Research Unplugged: Factors & Barriers to Adoption of Sustainable Structural Materials

Could the crumbling streets, abandoned buildings and desolate downtowns of the Rust Belts of the Western World be transformed into hotspots of innovation? In this talk, Esther Obonyo, associate professor of engineering design and architectural engineering will look at the case of New Kensington, PA, and discuss the factors and barriers to renovating the Rust Belt’s smaller cities.
