Engineering Design Program

The Engineering Design (DESIGN) program prepares the innovators of the future. We integrate the disciplines of engineering with design theory, business, psychology, and art in a studio environment. Through project-based learning, students develop the technical depth and breadth to solve problems related to products, systems, processes, and services.

DESIGN equips students for increasingly complex design responsibilities by strengthening various engineering skills including:

  • innovative design
  • systems design
  • community engagement
  • design methods and processes
  • design cognition and decision-making
  • collaborative design with global partners
  • client-based design project experience
